You'll need to dig at the location shown in the map below while having the clue scroll in your inventory. Avoid bringing items that you are not prepared to lose. If you are attacked by another player you can teleport away unless you're above level 20 wilderness, at higher levels you have to log out before you are being attacked. Your best bet for this step of your treasure trail is to go with just the clue scroll, spade and a weapon, no other items. That way you keep the clue scroll if you die. Avoid the area North of the Mage arena, there is always high level pkers there.

Possible way of transport: Use Ardougne lever to teleport to the Deserted keep, cut the web and run to the South of the Mage arena. You can access the Ardougne lever from the little house west of the Ardougne castle, it will teleport you to the Deserted keep.
